Today we will profile Jennifer and Meghan Doucette


Jennifer (mom) and Meghan (daughter) are members of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Warman, Saskatchewan.  Jennifer is married to Kevin the chef and is mom to three wonderful children: Josh (16) the hockey player; Louise (13) the dancer and Miss Megs (aka Meghan) the drama child.  Jennifer leads the Youth Group at St. John's and has been a teacher at several VBS programs at St. John's over the years.  Meghan (11) is a wonderful teacher's helper and is excited to share her talent as Hoppy the Frog with the children of Southend.  This mom and daughter team are thankful for the opportunity to share God's love with others.

Today we feature Darlene Heide

Darlene has lived in Warman Saskatchewan for 19 years working as as Educational Assistant to students with special needs. Together with her husband Randy (Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church) they have raised 3 boys, and so far, have happily grown their family with one beautiful daughter in law!  Darlene has been involved with VBS programs every year (since the beginning of time it seems) and she is very excited to follow God's leading on this new adventure in Southend!

6 Sleeps and Counting

With six sleeps to go, planning has increased.

Thank you to everyone involved in the planning.  Many hands make light work.

Over the next few days we will post a little bio blurb about the team heading out to Southend on August 5, 2019.  As you read through them, please keep them in your prayers.

First up is: Janel and Claire Madden 

They are members at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minnesota.  Janel works in the agricultural brokerage industry, sings on a praise team at church, enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  She is married to Lynn, and is also the Mom of Connor (23) and Collin (20).   Claire will be a Senior at Eagan High School this fall.  She loves her yellow lab Avery and joking around with her Dad.  She takes classes, student coaches, and performs in the acrobatic and aerial arts, and German Wheel thru Circus Juventas in St Paul MN.   This will be our 3rd summer trip to Southend and we are excited to see our friends again.

Coming Together - Miles apart

Miles apart and the preparation continues.

A group of  brothers and sisters in Christ, young and old will meet on August 4, 2019 and finalize the arrangements for the Mission Trip to Southend, Saskatchewan.

Some of us know each other already and some are new to the group.  Some of us have visited Southend before and others a first trip.

So much to plan and so much to think about and so much more joy and peace to share.
